Core PHP Developers are responsible for building and maintaining high-quality web applications that meet business requirements and provide a positive user experience.
Responsibilities
- Writing clean, well-designed, and efficient code using PHP programming language
- Developing and maintaining web applications using PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter
- Creating and executing database queries and scripts using MySQL or other database management systems
- Integrating third-party services and APIs into web applications
- Troubleshooting and debugging issues with web applications and implementing fixes
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation for code and web applications
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including designers, developers, and project managers to deliver high-quality software solutions
- Staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in PHP development
- Participating in code reviews and contributing to the development of team standards and best practices
- Continuously improving the performance and scalability of web applications through optimization and refactoring.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field is often required
- A Core PHP Developer should have a strong understanding of PHP and its related technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL, and AJAX.They should also have experience with web application frameworks like Laravel or CodeIgniter.
